PTSD is just a fashionable ‘accessory’? Er fuck you you fucking fucker.

I know it must seem recently that the road to popularity and success is to write ignorant, offensive tweets but Piers Morgan, you insufferable prick, cease and desist.

For those who aren’t aware, the British journalist has labelled PTSD the new trendy ‘celebrity accessory’. He went on to belittle Lady Gaga and Madonna who have both bravely admitted to suffering from PTSD years after a sexual assault.

Well, Piers, fuck you very much.

No, I mean that sincerely, from the bottom of My two sizes too small heart. Fuck you.

According to you, Piers Morgan, PTSD is only something experienced by war veterans but do you bother to find out that the US Department of Veteran Affairs says that sexual assault is ‘more likely to cause PTSD than many other events’.

For the boys and girls who found betrayal and horror at the hands of a friend or family member, fuck you Piers Morgan.

For the men and women who’ve survived ordeals but find ourselves frequently triggered by careless words or images with dark associations set aside just for us…go fuck yourself Piers for saying that we’re making it up, that if no prosecution was made then no abuse happened.

85% victims of rape don’t report it. For the brave ones who do (and I am proud to know some courageous girls who have gone to the police) only 5% of those lead to a conviction. In fact, 60% of reported rapes don’t even see court.

Does this mean they didn’t happen? No. It’s a failing and a bias inherent in the system.
Rape victims feel shame and humiliation. Rape victims fear the judgement of fools like you who doubt them. Shame on you for trying to silence the ones who speak out.

I have been blessed to know many women here who are intelligent, passionate and brave and whose strength is tested not only by the very real symptoms of PTSD but by a society that is ignorant of their suffering.

It’s a society that pretends to look the other way, a society ridden with ignorant fucktards like you, Piers Morgan, spouting ill-researched drivel without regard for the feelings of the ones who suffered not on battle fields but in homes and schools, in inner city flats and tree lined suburbs alike.

1 in 2 who experience sexual abuse go on to develop PTSD.

Piers Morgan, perhaps you just don’t like celebrities, which is ironic since the only reason I can see for you tweeting offensive word-turds is to be famous by online dickery. Celebrities have the spotlight on them so why not use that light to draw attention to those who suffer in the shadows. Such celebrities are to be applauded not trolled.

Look, it’s easy to write an inflammatory tweet. It’ll get you retweets. It’ll get ppl talking. It’ll get you headlines. It won’t offer comfort to the brave men and women whose boots you don’t deserve to lick you self-serving shameless hack.

To My friends, who have the strength to kick ass even when PTSD is kicking theirs and to endure the ignorance of fuckwit tweeters like this hack, hold true and stay strong.

To everyone who has suffered rape, abuse, betrayal and hurt I see you, I’m proud of you. I’m proud of us.

PTSD is real. It can attack you. It can be a weakness…but to strive and endure and thrive when you have something like that, well, sometimes a weakness takes real strength.

Love, light, and happy holidays,
